These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the StageYou website, applications, APIs, and related services (the “Platform”), provided by StageYou, Inc.(“StageYou,” “we,” “us”).
StageYou is an AI-powered Opportunity Intelligence Platform designed to help individuals continuously discover, navigate, prepare for, and realize educational, career, entrepreneurship, and lifelong learning opportunities throughout their lives. The Platform assists Users in identifying suitable educational pathways, universities, courses, countries, scholarships, internships, employment opportunities, professional certifications, entrepreneurship ecosystems, startup opportunities, remote work opportunities, and other opportunities (collectively, “Opportunities”) through AI-powered recommendations, assessments, guidance, and opportunity matching.
StageYou may facilitate opportunity matching, referrals, submissions, introductions, or other forms of user routing through universities, educational institutions, scholarship providers, employers, recruitment and staffing organizations, internship providers, talent networks, workforce platforms, certification bodies, online learning providers, startup incubators, accelerators, government organizations, funding organizations, and other third-party opportunity partners (collectively, “Opportunity Partners”), and may connect or refer Users to education providers, universities, training organizations, certification bodies, professional development providers, and other development-related organizations (collectively, “Development Partners”).
StageYou is not a university, educational institution, recruitment agency, employer, licensing authority, immigration adviser, visa consultant, scholarship provider, certification authority, government agency, or professional regulator. StageYou operates as a technology-enabled, AI-powered Opportunity Intelligence Platform providing AI-assisted assessments, opportunity intelligence, personalized recommendations, opportunity matching, user routing, and access to third-party opportunities and services. Nothing in these Terms creates an agency, fiduciary, admissions, employment, or placement-guarantee relationship between StageYou and any User.
By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all Users; where an Opportunity Partner or Development Partner has a separate written agreement with StageYou, that agreement governs the Partner’s use of the Platform.
To use the Platform, you must be at least the minimum age required to use our Services under the laws of your jurisdiction. If you are below the age of legal majority but are legally permitted to use the Platform, you represent that you have obtained the consent of your parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law. By using the Platform, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms or have the necessary parental or guardian consent.
You must not be prohibited from using the Platform under any applicable law, including sanctions, export control, or other legal restrictions, and you must not have previously been suspended or prohibited from using the Platform unless we have expressly reinstated your access.
StageYou reserves the right to verify your eligibility, age, identity, educational status, or other information where reasonably necessary and may refuse, suspend, or terminate access if we believe you do not meet the eligibility requirements or have provided inaccurate or misleading information.
You must register for an account and keep your information accurate and current. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity on your account, must notify us promptly of unauthorized use, and may not share, transfer, or duplicate accounts without our consent. StageYou is not liable for losses arising from your failure to secure your credentials.
You agree to provide truthful, complete, and current information (identity, academic history, qualifications, credentials, work history, licensure, or entrepreneurial experience, as relevant); keep your profile updated; use the Platform and any resulting Opportunities professionally and lawfully; independently verify and exercise judgment before relying on any recommendation, referral, or AI Output; comply with each Partner’s own application, admissions, or eligibility requirements and codes of conduct; and maintain any licenses, registrations, or academic standing required for the Opportunities you pursue. You are solely responsible for decisions made in reliance on the Platform, including decisions to apply for, accept, or decline any Opportunity.
AI Output (profile analysis, education and career pathway recommendations, university/course/country matching, scholarship and internship matching, entrepreneurship and startup ecosystem recommendations, skills and competency gap analysis, readiness assessments, and personalized reports) is generated from information you provide, publicly available data, and StageYou’s proprietary models, for informational and opportunity-discovery purposes only. AI Output is probabilistic, may be incomplete or inaccurate, and is not academic, professional, legal, immigration, licensing, financial, or investment advice. It is not a certification or verified determination of your eligibility, competence, or suitability for any Opportunity, and StageYou disclaims liability for decisions made in reliance on it. Any Opportunity Partner using AI Output to inform an admission, hiring, funding, or selection decision remains solely responsible for compliance with applicable education, employment, anti-discrimination, and automated-decision-making law.
The Platform may match, refer, submit, or route your profile and Content to Opportunity Partners and Development Partners (“Routing”) based on AI Output, your preferences, and other relevant factors. By using the Platform, you consent to such Routing, subject to your account settings and preferences. StageYou does not control or direct any Partner’s admissions, hiring, funding, selection, or other decision-making processes, is not a party to any resulting relationship (including enrolment, employment, internship, funding, incubation, certification, or other arrangements), and does not guarantee any outcome arising from Routing. You may withdraw your consent to future Routing at any time through your account settings or by contacting us, although such withdrawal will not affect Routing that has already taken place.
StageYou does not guarantee university or program admission, scholarships, internships, employment, placement, acceptance into an incubator or accelerator, funding or investment, or any other outcome. Use of the Platform, submission of Content, or receipt of AI Output or Routing creates no obligation on StageYou or any Partner to admit, employ, fund, sponsor, or otherwise engage you. All admissions, hiring, funding, and selection decisions are made solely by the relevant Opportunity Partner or Development Partner in its discretion.
StageYou expressly disclaims any guarantee of interviews or shortlisting; admission offers, job offers, or funding offers; placement through any Partner; scholarship awards; acceptance into any startup incubator, accelerator, or entrepreneurship programs; professional licensing, registration, or regulatory approval; immigration status, visa sponsorship, or approval; or acceptance by any Partner. AI Output, referrals, and other insights support opportunity discovery and decision-making only, and are not guarantees of any outcome. Admissions, licensing, immigration, and funding decisions rest exclusively with the applicable institution, regulator, authority, or investor; StageYou is not your immigration adviser, visa consultant, licensing agent, admissions officer, or investment adviser.
Opportunity Partners including universities and educational institutions, scholarship providers, employers, recruitment and staffing organizations, internship providers, talent networks, workforce platforms, startup incubators and accelerators, government and funding organizations are independent third parties, not agents or employees of StageYou. StageYou does not vet, endorse, or control their admissions criteria, employment practices, funding criteria, working conditions, or conduct, and is not responsible for the accuracy of their listings, postings, or content. Your interactions and any resulting engagement, enrolment, employment, incubation, or funding
arrangement with an Opportunity Partner occur directly between you and that Partner, at your own risk, and you release StageYou from claims fully arising from such disputes permitted by law.
Development Partners are independent third parties responsible for their own programs, admissions, curricula, accreditation, pricing, and certification standards. A referral to a Development Partner is informational only and not an endorsement. You are solely responsible for evaluating whether a program meets your educational, professional, or regulatory needs; StageYou is not responsible for tuition, fees, refunds, cancellations, accreditation status, or program outcomes.
You represent that all Content you submit is true, accurate, current, and not misleading, and that you have the right to submit it. StageYou does not independently verify User-submitted Content unless stated otherwise for a specific feature. Submitting false or fabricated information (including misrepresented academic records, credentials, or licensure, or impersonation) is a material breach and may be reported to Partners or regulators where disclosure is warranted or legally required. AI Output based on inaccurate Content will itself be limited or inaccurate, and StageYou is not responsible for resulting consequences.
You retain ownership of academic transcripts, CVs, profile, and credential information you submit (“Profile Data”), subject to the license in Section 15. You must have the right to upload any document, including that doing so does not breach confidentiality owed to an institution, employer, licensing body, or examination authority. Unless a specific verification feature states otherwise, StageYou does not verify the authenticity of academic records or credentials displayed on a profile; Partners remain responsible for independently verifying credentials, transcripts, and qualifications before making admissions, hiring, funding, or certification decisions.
You agree not to: submit false or misleading information or impersonate another; use the Platform unlawfully or in violation of applicable education, employment, immigration, financial-promotion, or data-protection law; scrape or harvest data, or reverse-engineer the Platform or its models; upload malicious code or attempt unauthorized access; harass, defame, or discriminate against other Users or Partners; misuse AI Output as a verified credential, admission decision, or certification; infringe third-party rights; or resell or sublicense access without our written consent. We may investigate violations and act, including suspension or termination (Section 21).
The Platform, including its software, algorithms, models, design, and trademarks, is owned by StageYou or its licensors; these Terms grant no rights in that technology beyond the limited right to use the Platform. You retain ownership of your Content, but grant StageYou a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, process, and display it to operate and improve the Services, generate AI Output, and facilitate Routing, subject to the Privacy Policy. StageYou may use feedback you provide without restriction.
Our collection, use, and sharing of Personal Data, including with Opportunity and Development Partners through Routing, is described in our Privacy Policy displayed on the website, incorporated by reference. Sensitive information such as academic records, disability or accommodation information (where voluntarily submitted for opportunity-matching purposes), and financial-need information relevant to scholarships or funding is processed consistent with the Privacy Policy and applicable law. By using the Platform, you consent to processing and, where applicable, cross-border transfer of your information as described there.
The Platform may link or route you to third-party sites or services operated by Partners or others. StageYou does not control and is not responsible for their content, policies, or practices; your use of them is governed by their own terms, at your own risk, and inclusion of a link is not an endorsement.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE PLATFORM AND ALL AI OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR UNINTERRUPTED
OPERATION. StageYou does not warrant that AI Output will be accurate or unbiased, that Routing will result in any outcome, that Partners will comply with law, or that the Platform will be secure or error-free. Some jurisdictions do not permit these exclusions, in which case they apply to the minimum extent permitted.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STAGEYOU AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR EDUCATIONAL,
CAREER, OR FUNDING OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM USE OF THE PLATFORM, AI OUTPUT, OR ANY PARTNER INTERACTION. STAGEYOU’S AGGREGATE LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID STAGEYOU IN THE
PRIOR 12 MONTHS OR [USD 100]. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law, including for death, personal injury, fraud, or gross negligence.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless StageYou and its affiliates from claims, damages, and costs (including attorneys’ fees) arising from your use or misuse of the Platform, breach of these Terms, inaccurate or misappropriated Content, interactions with a Partner, or violation of law or third-party rights. StageYou may assume exclusive control of the defense of any such claim, with your cooperation.
You may close your account at any time. StageYou may suspend or terminate access, with or without notice, if it reasonably believes you have breached these Terms, submitted false information, engaged in unlawful or harmful conduct, or created legal risk for StageYou, and may suspend the Platform for maintenance, legal, or business reasons. On termination, your access ends and Content is retained or deleted per the Privacy Policy; provisions that by nature should survive (including Sections 8, 9, 15, 18–20, 22, and 23) will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Delaware – USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, and, subject to any non-waivable local consumer, student, or employment protections, the courts of Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction over related disputes.
StageYou may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Platform – including the addition of new Opportunity types, partner categories, or AI-powered features consistent with the purpose described in Section 1 — or in our practices or applicable law and will provide reasonable notice of material changes (e.g., by email or in-Platform notice). Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance; if you disagree, you must stop using the Platform.
